These terms describe how Go Top Notch Movers LLC quotes and performs moving services in South Florida and for long-distance moves.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and are prepared from the information you give us. An estimate becomes a confirmed price once we have both agreed it in writing.
Local moves are charged by the hour with a crew and a truck, plus any stated travel or toll charge, with a minimum number of hours shown on your estimate. Long-distance moves are quoted as a flat rate based on the inventory and distance we agree.
What can change a price
A price can change only when the job itself changes. Where that happens, we tell you before we continue so you can decide.
- Items added on moving day that were not on the agreed inventory
- Additional stops or a second delivery address
- Stairs, long carries, or elevator access not disclosed when we quoted
- Waiting time caused by a building, a permit or a third party
Booking and cancellation
A standard local move can be booked without a deposit. Some long-distance and commercial bookings require a deposit to reserve a truck and date, and any deposit is stated in writing before you commit.
If your plans change, tell us as early as you can. We will move your date where our schedule allows, and deposits are handled the way we agreed in writing at booking.
Your responsibilities
Please tell us honestly about stairs, elevators, parking, HOA or building rules, and any item that is unusually heavy, fragile or valuable. Please also empty and defrost refrigerators, and keep cash, jewellery, documents, medications and irreplaceable items with you.
- Reserve the elevator or obtain any building or parking permit required at either address
- Remove or secure valuables, and clearly mark items that should not be loaded
- Disconnect and reconnect appliances, televisions and computer equipment unless we agree otherwise
Items we cannot transport
We cannot carry flammable, explosive or hazardous materials such as propane tanks, gasoline, paint thinners, aerosols, ammunition or fireworks, and we cannot transport perishable food on long-distance moves.
Protection and claims
We are a licensed Florida moving company carrying cargo and liability coverage. We wrap and protect furniture as part of every move, and we will provide proof of insurance or a certificate of insurance for your building on request.
If you believe something has been damaged, tell your crew leader before the crew leaves and note it on the paperwork, then contact us in writing within five days. We document the item and handle the claim through our coverage.
